About the Finished Version of EdHT

"The first finished version will be EdHT V1.0 This will hopefully happen if enough people consider EdHT is worth continued development. Some people much prefer to use HTML tag parsers such as HTML-Heaven so they can use their favourite editors".

"I have attempted to keep EdHT a menu driven HTML editor. It seems that some users have expressed the need for adding toolbox type features, but the simplicity of no tool boxes has been welcomed by others. To this end, user definable toolboxs are currently being developed as an extension of the menuconfig command set, allowing for a high level of flexibility in this area".

"Pre-defined toolboxs structures will accompany such a version of EdHT for those that do not care to write their own toolbox structures".

Future Amigas?

"As the Amiga seems to now have an official development future, any change in platform (eg. PPC, pOS or Workbench 4?) for EdHT will be determined by the direction Gateway 2000 and Amiga International take".

Note: Well as we all know things have changed since this was written in 1997 and now include other platforms (Linux/Windoze) as hosts to the ADE.
